Frank Madden, head trainer and owner of Capital Hill Show Stables, is widely recognized as one of the most successful and dedicated trainers of young and developing equestrian talent in the United States. He has trained several of the most promising junior equitation and junior amateur jumper riders - riders who have the potential to represent the United States at the highest levels of international competition. Frank has 26 National Championship wins between the USEF Medal, ASPCA Maclay, USET Final, and the WIHS Final. Most recently, training Taylor Madden to win the USEF Medal Finals in 2020. Frank was also the Chef D'Equipe of two Young Rider jumper teams, at Monterrey in 1997 and at the North American Young Rider Championships in 1998. In addition to his training, Frank is also a top "R" judge and a published author. Frank Madden and several of his top riders were featured in the 2005 Animal Planet television series, "Horse Power: The Road to the Maclay." Animal Planet filmed Brianne Goutal making history as the first junior rider to win all the major equitation finals with her 2005 wins in the USEF Medal Finals and the ASPCA Maclay Finals. Frank's riders have also earned many coveted "Style of Riding" awards at events such as the Washington International and the Devon Horse Shows. The training ring, however, is just one area in which Frank Madden contributes to the development of American equestrian talent. In addition to Frank's previous work producing the "Wachovia Jumper Classic at Beacon Hill," Frank serves on several national committees, was on the Board of Directors for the internationally recognized Syracuse Invitational Sport Horse Tournament, assisted Old Salem Farm in the management elements of the American Gold Cup CSI4* World Cup Qualifier. Frank also frequently contributes his time and expertise by judging, giving clinics, and developing potential sponsors for the sport. Frank's efforts have been recognized in various awards and honors such as the prestigious "Development Coach of the Year" award from the United States Olympic Committee and was awarded the 2005 "Show Hunter Horseman of the Year" by the Chronicle of the Horse.
Jen Madden started her professional career at Pine Hollow Stable in Brookville, New York, as a rider and assistant trainer. After three great years, Jen moved to Hunter's Crossing in East Setauket, New York, where, for five years, she was a rider and assistant trainer. Jen Madden started her professional career at Pine Hollow Stable in Brookville, New York, as a rider and assistant trainer. After three great years, Jen moved to Hunter's Crossing in East Setauket, New York, where, for five years, she was a rider and assistant trainer. In 2005, as a rider and assistant trainer, Jen began working alongside Frank Madden at Beacon Hill Show Stable in Colts Neck, New Jersey. While at Beacon Hill, Jen accompanied competitors to major national champions, including the USEF Medal, ASPCA Maclay, USET Medal, and WIHS Finals. When Frank moved to Hunter's Moon Farm in 2008, Jen accompanied him, continuing as an assistant trainer. While at Hunter's Moon, she contributed to their winning ways, with riders capturing victories in the George Morris Equitation Excellence and North American Junior Equitation Championship and Junior Hunter Finals. In 2010, Jen was enlisted as the private trainer, rider, and manager at Oceanaire Farm, owned by the Strauss Family. They captured titles at the North American Junior and Young Riders Championships, Washington International, the Devon Horse Show, and the Winter Equestrian Festival. Jen then became the rider and trainer at Bright Side Farm in Watermill, New York. Then, she worked again alongside Frank Madden, the head trainer at Old Salem Farm. Since 2017, Frank and Jen have owned and operated Capital Hill Show Stables in Wellington, Florida. Together, they have achieved many champions and top placings at the USEF Medal Finals, ASPCA Maclay Finals, USET Finals, North American Junior Equitation Championship, New England Equitation Championship, Zone 1 and 2 Maclay Regionals, etc. Jen is also a graduate of the USHJA Trainer Certification Program.
After a successful junior career, she secured a spot on the Southern Methodist University Equestrian Team. She helped the team secure two National Championship titles. After graduating, she decided to continue her riding career by continuing to work for her parents.

When the opportunity presented itself, she took a working student position with Jim Toon to expand her knowledge in the jumper and equitation ring. After a successful junior career, Ericka secured herself a position on the Auburn Equestrian Team, where she helped lead them to two National Championships, three South Eastern Conference Championships, and two consecutive undefeated regular seasons. After her successful career at Auburn, Ericka decided to continue her equestrian career by joining Capital Hill Show Stables.
